COMPANY PROFILE

• Scavenger Manufacturing develops and manufactures textile products and accessories in Industrial, Commercial, Security, Military and Outdoor Recreation markets and also imports various specialized products for related markets.
• We have a design capability, which allows us to develop new products and improve on existing products in the various markets and have been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certificate by Alpha Certification Services (SANAS registered company). The company is furthermore committed to implement World Class Practices thereby improving all areas of the business on a continual basis.  
• Scavenger the brand name was created in1994, mostly Outdoor recreation and related products were manufactured because of personal interest and high cost of imported products from Europe and U.S.A.
• Scavenger Manufacturing was founded in June 1996 and bought the well established brand Back Packer in 2003 to expand the product range and currently manufactures a total range of about 150 products with an estimate 70 stock items. - 56% Industrial & Commercial; 26% Back Packer; 7% Recreation; 6% Security; 5% Custom Design and Developments and contracts.
• Our most recent developments have been in the outdoor, bag, rucksack and tent markets (Camera bags, Laptop packs, Scuba diving carry bags and mountaineering rucksacks and related products for local and export markets)
• The business consists of two shareholders R Brucher – 50 percent equity (Managing Director) and T. Ehlers – 50 percent equity
• Scavenger Manufacturing further employs Mrs. E. Brucher (Financial & Sales manager) another three persons Mrs. A. Retief, Bernnet Motshweni, Moteke Keoganne in production management level and 40 skilled machinists.
• Scavenger Manufacturing is situated in Waltloo (Silverton); close to the airport and the factory is central for both our employees and raw material suppliers.
